This section deals with crime figures in the UK today. For some children this is a world that they have little knowledge of. For others, this may be a world that they are familiar with. What we know is that independence grows as students enter senior school, university and the world at large. That is why it’s important that we take a holistic view of the reality on the UK streets so that we can properly educate young people appropriately.

As teachers please use your discretion when using this material in this document.
